Monday- So I left about 12ish and said bye bye to my buddays. Sad day :( We met at the Birds house and listened to TS on the way up to camp. We checked in and met our Cabin leaders (Sister Burns and Sister Hilburt) and my fellow YCL partner (Janelle). We decoraded the cabin and chatted, went to a few training meetings and stuff. We took showers and then slept in our cabin with just the leaders (got some sleep!!!)
Tuesday- IT WAS SO HOT!!!!! I sweated SO much it was ridiculous. The funny thing was I kept reaching back for my phone and I had to keep remembering I didn't have mine :( So then we checked in a bunch of girls and I got to meet all my little 12yr olds in my cabin. I had a lot of Hispanic girls in my cabin (haha) But we got a pretty good group of girls :) We taught some stuff that the girls had to know for their 1st yr and listened to Sister Layton give a lesson on Ether. We made bath salts and chapstick (it was LEGIT) And then I went on a special hike with the leader so she could show me the trail and some plants to point out to the girls, and then we had pretty much every girls trying to take showers that evening and it flooded :P Some girl passed out from all the steam and heat (she passes out EVERY year :P) I went and sat on some steps and a racoon came by and brushed up against my legs. I kinda jumped a little bit and then I lifted my hand and said hi little buddy(: And he hopped up and lifted up it's arm. IT WAS SO CUTE! We became friends that night. ahah. So I patiently waited and then me, Aubs, Kayla and some other girls took showers after everyone was gone. I wore the ring Tony gave me as a necklace and Kayla asked where I got it and I told her so she said she wanted to talk to me after I was done changing and stuffs. So I got changed and then me, Aubs, Kayla and Libby stayed in the bathroom and just talked and laughed for like an hour! hahahahaha it was the BOMB. Quiet fish! haha.We were sneaky a snuck into the kitchen and stole a sandwhich out of the freezer on our way back we were caught and a leader chased us down to the kitchen, she just laughed though and said we were funny(: We stayed up talking that night and it was pretty awesome(:
Weds- We had to wake up early for a hike :P I felt really weak and dizzy (it sucked) and I had to keep sitting down and I couldn't eat breakfast. Anyway, I had to lead the hike so I sucked it up and led the way! I felt SUPER cool. I kept running into spider webs and would spazz out so I had Kayla go in front half way through :P We led songs and were pretty much super cool. Then after we went swimming in the pool for an hour and a half. We played some fun games and stuff and then we had free time so I went and chilled with Mati and Linds in their cabin. Then we went to another lesson by sister Mentor. I had Kayla french braid my hair while we were there :) and we tied blankets as a service to the hospital. I got an animal blanket that I thought was the cutest and Ashtyn Fox sat with me. We talked and after that we became really good friends :) We played the cup game and different hand clap games (I should teach u guys at your party Vang!! :D) Then it was ward night and we had a BLAST with all the girls and leaders coming up. We played some SUPER fun games and at one point I almost threw up from running, yelling, sweating and acting crazy so much :P I had to go sit in a cabin for a while and then I moved and sat in the freezer in the big kitchen (It's a good idea to make friends with the cooks) Well, they shut down the showers so we didnt get to shower :P But me and Kayla stayed up and chatted (for some odd reason we really bonded at camp o.O idk why)
Thurs- We made necklaces, went to another lesson thing, and tied knots with licorish. Oh yeah! I got stung by a wasp for the first time waiting for Linds to get out of the bathroom. IT STUNG ME FOR NO REASON! Just came, landed (without me knowing) stung, and left me jumping up and down yelping. So I went to the nurse and she put some stuff on it...stupid wasp. Anyway, we practiced our skit a lot, chilled and I took a shower! Ashtyn and I didn't really want to make props so we went to different cabins and ate their food ;) I fell asleep during scripture study...and dreamed of wasps attacking me :P :P :P Ashtyn kept saying my name I guess cause I kept twitching in my sleep. haha. Anyway we went to skit night and there were some really GOOD ones. I got videos and picts, IT WAS SO FUN! :) Our song was Yellow Submarine (we changed the words of course) and it was cute. haha. And the testimony meeting was after and it was a fail! Everyone who went up just told sad stories of people dying..it was horrible. So yup! We went back to the cabins and had more testimony and discussion (I choked a little, prob cuz I was tired :P) But we got to sleep with the cabin so I slept in a bunk under Ashtyn and we teased each other a lot. I kicked the bed really hard and bruised my foot, it hurt...A LOT. I got a lot of sleep (well...7hrs) and I was OUT.
Friday- Woke up, packed, went home. OH YEAH. SOOOO HAPPY TO BE BACK! Texted, did laundry, slept, went to a party with Aubs, me, Tony and Bryce. It was really fun(: We ate and played games then went and surprised people at their houses and failed at a ding dong ditch. hahaha. So yup, im home and happy(: BYE! (if you were able to read all of this...that is AMAZING)
